The Dubois County BombersThe Dubois County Bombers of the Central Illinois Collegiate League (CICL) play all of their home games at Huntingburg's historic League Stadium. Sponsored in part by Major League Baseball, the CICL (http://www.ciclbaseball.com) will celebrate its 45th year in 2007. This brand of baseball represents the highest level of pre-professional amateur baseball in America with performers who relish the opportunity to play for the love of the game and showcase their talents in front of major league scouts. Over 1000 CICL alumni have played professional baseball with 156 making the major leagues including Hall of Famers Mike Schmidt and Kirby Puckett as well as 2006 National League MVP, Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies. Featured in the hit movie "A League of Their Own", League Stadium allows fans to enjoy baseball in a fun family friendly environment that has the charm and essence of old time baseball. The Bombers 2007 season starts in early June and runs through mid August.
