Located in the downtown area, the Jasper Public Library provides a collection of over 80,000 books, magazines, videos, DVDs, and books on CD and Tape as well as storytimes and other programs for children of all ages. The Library offers access to the Internet, to several online databases and to INSPIRE, the statewide Virtual Library, along with computers for just typing and word processing. The Jasper Public Library also houses a Genealogy Collection with access to local newspapers, online databases, and an extensive collection of local genealogy materials. Throughout the year storytimes and programs are offered for children of all ages.

The Jasper Public Library has six full time staff, nine part time staff, and several volunteers and is open 65 hours per week. Each year the Library answers over 13,000 reference and directional questions; circulates over 204,000 items; and provides over 234 program/tours. Over 9600 people log on to Library computers and over 800 use the Genealogy Room each year.
