• Two listings in the Welcome To Jasper Directory (alphabetical and categorical). The roster of Chamber members is available at no charge to our members.
• The same two listings on our Internet Homepage, plus the option of including a more complete explanation of your business using 60 words or less – at no extra charge. Visit the Chamber on the "web" at www.jasperin.org.
• County-wide recognition in The Herald when the annual Spring Newsletter is printed, listing current member businesses.
• An invitation to the regular, members-only "Time Out From Business" after hours social receptions. This is a popular and well-attended after-hours membership reception. Hosted by local businesses, these gatherings are the prefect time to distribute business cards and meet other local business people in a relaxed setting.
• As a member, you have the opportunity to host a TOFB, to promote your business.
• Invitations to Chamber-sponsored workshops and seminars. The Chamber has gained quite a reputation for presenting top-quality seminars. This is an opportunity to gain knowledge, meet other business people and network your business at the same time. Attend every Chamber meeting you can. Your presence is important!
• By joining the Chamber, you add your "voice" to the collective voice of Jasper businesses, thus helping to influence decisions and suggest solutions to issues which affect your business and customers. The Chamber is a forum for discussion of topics relevant to local business success!
• Ribbon-Cutting or Ground Breaking: If you renovate your business, relocate, build a new building or start a new business, we will help coordinate a ribbon-cutting or a ground-breaking ceremony. It is an opportunity for you to showcase your business to many people in the community. Too, the Chamber will bring scissors, ribbon and take photos to place in your scrapbook!
• We publish a quarterly newsletter, The Chamber Update, in The Herald so our members and the community can receive information on the latest activities and progress of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce. If you do not have access to The Herald or missed the latest publication, please us know and we will forward one to you!
• The Chamber’s Annual Dinner Meeting is held each Fall. More than 200 members attend this fantastic event. In addition to always having an entertaining and informational speaker, the new Board members and officers are introduced and those leaving the Board are recognized. Special recognition is also given to an individual who has done an outstanding job in making Jasper a better place in which to live and is awarded the President’s Community Excellence Award.
• Opportunities to participate in special promotional and civic programs initiated and/or coordinated by the Chamber, and designed to help stimulate local business or support civic improvements. Members’ suggestions are always welcome. The Chamber sponsors the Training Video Library in which a separate membership fee is paid in order to enhance this library with quality training films and C.D.’s. The Chamber also cooperates with Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center to provide an annual Health Screening at a nominal charge for members of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce.
• Access to a wide array of materials, including but not limited to maps, directories, brochures, booklets, resource materials, internet . . . all at the Chamber office!
